CHRISTIAN ZÖLLNER

DIGITAL PROTOTYPING STUDY, 2021

Calyx, folds, vascular wall, the inside of a cnidarian or fractal growth … such organic associations come up when you look at the small cup, look inside, hold it against the light or feel the delicate structure with your fingertips. 3D printing has changed our aesthetic vocabulary, and Christian, you were there!

Christian Zöllner (Dresden) is a product designer and since 2018 professor for design methods and experiment at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle/Saale. In the research studio The Constitute – from one of the many self-descriptions: home of spatial subversions and electronic sheep – Christian explores the interfaces and potentials of digitalised processes and manual-practical design together with partners, friends and clients.
